Blaspheming her true purpose, some have described her as a trophy wife to an ambitious, dark skinned, educated business man; my fair grandmother with her elegant beauty embraced my similar, generational skipping features and taught me never to be ashamed.

The memory of our conversations and the magic with which she believed in the God in me, carry me past the devestation of her pain.
