Is not the bible. Since its canonization, the bible has proven to be one of the most divisive books throughout history. 
It is both the flagship of our faith and the contention of our conflicts… It is complex; A library of multiple authors recorded and reworded over a span of centuries in several languages and pieced together orally and by discovery; A field of combatted interpretation and authoritative stances often used as foundation for scripturally substantiated “manifest destiny” and oppression. Of course these ills do not thwart my exploration, intrigue and wrestling with the text most key to faith formation… it does however disqualify it as my favorite book.
I always read and then forget how much I loved a book… or what it was called… or who wrote it… So I will start a list here and try to back track in the future.
